Core to Posture - 46min
PILATES

46m
In this video we’ll review quickly the anatomy of the abs to better understand and execute the movements we need.
The abs are very important for two reasons: They stabilize the lumbar spine and Thoraco-lombo-pelvic complex and they move the spine.
Because they are both stabilizers and movers we need to work them both statically and dynamically.
They also move the shoulders over the pelvis or the pelvis over the shoulders in divergent ways: flexion, positive torsion, rotation, side bending.
For a strong core that enhances our postural balance we need to execute all those motions!
Thru the anatomy review we’ll improve our awareness so that we’ll be able to better execute and better teach!
Let’s dive into and see how all these movements can be found both in the segmental training and in the intermediate Pilates Mat!
