Full Body CARs Routine
Program by Anita Naegeli
Length: 35 Minutes
Props Used: Yoga Block, Hand Towel, Small Ball (something similar to a Tennis or Lacrosse Ball)
In this class, Anita leads you through a Full Body CARs Sequence. “CARs” is an acronym that stands for Controlled Articular Rotations. When doing CARs, the goal is to move a particular joint in isolation, actively through its full range of motion. You can think of the sequence as a morning routine. It is a great way to warm up the body at the beginning of the day, and it is a chance to move all your joints through their full range of motion. Of course, CARs can be done at any time of the day. For example, they can be incorporated into a warmup at the gym before a workout. It is also a great way to assess the movement capacity of individual joints, which will be covered in the class as well.
